- 4-20mA output and HART output integrated
- Wide antenna range
- Interactive Windows-based setup software
- Built-in display/ keyboard
Measuring principle
The MRG-10 measures liquid levels by transmitting low energy radar pulses towards the liquid surface and receiving the radar echoes. The travel time for the radar pulse is proportional to the distance between the gauge and the surface. Upon reception, microprocessors and intelligent software in the gauge head analyze the echoes and transform them into level output data.
The radar pulse is virtually unaffected by the tank content and atmosphere, temperature or pressure. Thus, radar measurement has proven to be the most reliable gauging method in most applications.
Furthermore, maintenance requirements are in fact zero as no part of the gauge is in physical contact with liquid.
All this makes MRG-10 very well suited for storage and buffer tanks in the chemical and water industry.
MRG-10 applications
The MRG-10 is appropriate for calm surface liquid. If you intend to use the MRG-10 to measure turbulence surface liquid, you need to use still pipe in order to keep the surface cal. The MRG-10 is appropriate for storage tanks or buffer tanks that have a relatively calm surface.

- Chemical and petroleum
- Pharmaceuticals
- Food and beverage
- Industrial water, such as river intake gates
- Water supply
- Sewage water treatment plant
- Hydraulic power stations

System
The MRG-10 uses a 2-wire system, which means both signal and power are available on the same wiring.
The MRG-10 is certified as an intrinsic safety instrument, if you intend to use it in a hazardous area, an intrinsic safety isolator should be used.
All data are displayed by a 5-digit LCD display on the main body and items easily changed using 4 configuration buttons. It is also possible to operate the Interactive Windows-based setup software on a PC.

Load cell type M2428-14
Code: Product Details The M2428-14 is a low-cost load cell to measure weights or forces in the range of 25kg (~250N) to 30'000kg (~300'000N). The bending beam consists of a strain gage sensor with integrated electronics to convert the force or weight to a 4…20mA signal. There is no need to use external, sensitive strain gage amplifiers or signal conditioning devices. A cell connects directly to any 2-wire sensor input of process control computers or other control equipment and displays. The bending beam confirms the protected class IP67 an delivered with open cable ends. Any range within the measuring range can be programmed. E.g. 45kg to 420kg = 4 to 20mA within a calibrated range of 0 to 500kg.
